Account Manager - Pharmaceuticals | Europe (Remote) – Remote (with 40-60% travel across Europe) – Permanent | Full-Time

About the Role

As Account Manager - Pharmaceuticals, you will take ownership of key accounts and develop strategic relationships across pharmaceutical clients, distributors, and partners. You will identify new business opportunities, expand existing accounts, and promote an industry-leading portfolio of pharmaceutical excipients across OTC, generic, and Rx markets.


This is a customer-facing, commercially driven role with a focus on building trust, delivering tailored solutions, and achieving year-over-year revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Technical Support, and Regulatory to provide best-in-class service.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with assigned pharmaceutical clients and distributors across Europe.

  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to grow market share and meet/exceed revenue targets.

  • Promote the company\'s excipient portfolio through in-person meetings, virtual engagements, tradeshows, and conferences.

  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and account planning strategies.

  • Track opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to develop integrated client solutions.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and demand planning insights.

  • Handle client issues, complaints, or supply chain concerns effectively to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Travel frequently across Europe (approximately 40-60%) for client and industry engagements.



Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor\'s degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or business.

  • Proven experience (approximately 5+ years) in account management within the pharmaceutical ingredients/excipients sector.

  • Strong network across European pharma markets (OTC, generics, innovators, CDMO/CMO).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Native-level fluency in English; an additional European language is a strong advantage.

  • Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office tools.

  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated with a \"hunter\" mindset and strong commercial acumen.
