Account Manager.CB1, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

This Account Manager role offers involvement in sales and account development for a software & technology business that supports charities. The role is open as a newly created position with potential to drive growth and shape the direction of a fast-growing SME in Cambridgeshire. The role is suitable for a candidate with an interest in software, IT or technology and experience in developing new business and managing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage existing accounts, ideally selling a technical service or software.
• Drive revenue growth and build the customer base within a dynamic market space.
• Work in a rapidly growing SME environment, adapting to multiple roles as needed.
• Engage with customers professionally and develop long-term relationships.
• Contribute to the future direction and growth of the SME technology company.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in developing new business and account management, ideally selling technical software or services.
• An interest in Software, IT, AI or technology is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• Ambition to develop and grow the market share of a technology business.
• Adaptable and flexible, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small to mid-size enterprise.
• Not-for-profit or charity sector exposure, or networking within universities, charities, or related organisations, is beneficial.
• Good IT and tech skills; familiarity with tools like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva is useful but not required.
