Account Management Sales Role within a UK manufacturer in the gate & door automation sector
Account Manager
The Role: Our client is recruiting for a new Account Manager to manage the Northern Ireland, Scotland, and North East England area to add real value to the strong customer relationships they have across the area. You will be selling a range of drives, motors & controls which are used to ensure industrial doors, gates & barriers operate safely and securely. These automation products provide solutions within domestic, commercial, and some agricultural settings making no two customers the same.
80% of your time will be spent covering accounts in Ireland, and 20% of your time will be spent travelling. On average you can expect to spend 3-5 days per month travelling to Mainland UK.
The Account Manager will be dealing with all levels of decision makers from business owners, Design Engineers, Installers, and Procurement to name a few. This will be an account management heavy role to begin with (75%), and as those relationships bed-in you will be doing more new business activity in year two in order to capitalize on that initial success. This new business will be both within your existing account base, but also within dormant accounts from years gone by - the data you will have access to is unrivalled and they have a great Salesforce CRM in place. In addition to dealing with OEMs/Manufacturers, there is also scope to be targeting M&E Consultants to get more specification work into the pipeline across the region.
The Account Manager won't just have a great product and a strong account base, but also a superb team behind them. This includes internal sales, marketing, accounts, and a field-based technical team who can provide a lot of value to your daily interactions with customers.
The Company: Part of a larger group, our client is a British manufacturer of motion & control automation systems who are long-established and well regarded in the industrial doors & shutters sector. They have a brilliant philosophy and are an organization who genuinely live & breathe their core values. They invest in their people with training, have excellent retention across the board, and have plans to keep expanding.
