Job description

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: Permanent

Location: London (hybrid working: 2 days working from home per week available upon successful completion of probation)

About the role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Account Handler/Senior Account Handler to join our London office.

The successful candidate will manage insurance and financial services for Lycetts' corporate and commercial clients and prospects. Responsibilities include supporting business development through quotes and cross-referrals, and collaborating with senior and account executives to manage client and prospect accounts.

Key responsibilities
  • Respond to new business inquiries and prepare quotations
  • Identify cross-referral opportunities with prospects and clients
  • Prepare documentation for meetings and presentations
  • Mentor and develop other account handling team members
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-referrals
  • Ensure compliance with file management, FCA guidelines, and procedures
Knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Previous experience in insurance
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and providers
  • Experience obtaining quotes and placing business
  • Strong negotiating skills and relationship-building abilities with clients and insurers
  • Understanding of FCA requirements in a broking role
