NFU Mutual is seeking an Account Handler in its Financial Lines team. You will work with NFU Mutual Agents and Regional Sales to secure appropriate insurance solutions for a diverse client base, including SMEs to large corporates.
You will handle quotations, new business, renewals and claims support, using your technical knowledge to guide agents through complex requirements. Training and guidance from experienced Product Managers will support your growth.
Join our specialist Financial Lines team and play a key role in helping customers protect what matters most. As an Account Handler, you'll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, working closely with NFU Mutual Agents, Regional Sales teams and leading Financial Lines insurers to secure the right insurance solutions for a wide range of customers. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll be involved in obtaining quotations, arranging new business, managing renewals and supporting claims administration. You'll use your technical expertise to guide Agents through complex insurance requirements, helping them understand available cover and providing solutions to meet their customers' needs. You'll be supported by experienced Financial Lines Product Managers and Consultants who will provide ongoing coaching, technical guidance and specialist expertise, helping you develop your knowledge and build a successful career within a highly respected team.
As NFU Mutual continues to grow and diversify, you'll have the opportunity to work with increasingly complex and high-value risks, including commercial, specialty and high-net-worth business that sits outside our traditional underwriting appetite. Working closely with both Head Office Underwriting and the wider Agency Network, you'll play an important role in securing placement solutions through the Composite and London Insurance Markets.

This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. You'll have recent experience in broking or underwriting, with a good understanding of Financial Lines insurance and the confidence to assess and present risks. Knowledge of Cyber, Technology, Professional Indemnity and/or Directors & Officers insurance is desirable, with expertise in Cyber and Technology being particularly advantageous.
We are especially keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about Cyber and Technology risks and are eager to further develop their knowledge and expertise in these areas.
Customer-focused and commercially aware, you'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and relationship-building skills will enable you to deliver a high-quality service and build effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and insurers.
