The Role

As an Account Handler, you will be helping to drive the business forward by maintaining an existing portfolio of clients as well as developing new clients. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Working with a portfolio of new and existing clients, in close collaboration with the team of Senior Brokers and Directors, to provide tailored insurance solutions.
2. Providing comprehensive customer support and advice to meet the insurance needs of your clients.
3. Developing a strong understanding of the client's business and requirements, and their risks.
4. Dealing with the processing and administration of new contracts, renewals and MTAs.
5. Liaising and negotiating with underwriters to identify the most suitable insurance products for your clients.
6. Working closely with Senior Brokers and Directors to develop a strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, ensuring all recommendations are aligned to the client's needs.
7. Handling day-to-day queries and enquiries from both clients and insurers.
8. Providing outstanding customer service and developing lasting relationships.

About You

1. Proven experience in the insurance industry as either a Broker, Account Handler, Account Executive or Account Manager.
2. Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills both in person and over the phone.
3. Knowledge of multiple insurance products and services.
4. Working knowledge of insurance software (Acturis or similar) is desirable but not essential.
5. CII qualification or working towards would be advantageous.
6. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
7. Strong PC skills.
