Job description

Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure.

Why we need this role:
The Account Executive in the Public Services sector plays a crucial role in driving business growth by managing and expanding a portfolio of existing and new accounts. Your primary focus will be nurturing relationships, identifying opportunities for growth with new government departments. You will lead sales initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to position Colt's solutions effectively, delivering strategic, customer-focused engagements within the Public Services sector.

What you will do:

1. Develop and drive initiatives to grow revenue from new accounts and maximize further cross-selling opportunities.
2. Create and implement effective, data-led strategies to prioritize and manage client activities.
3. Build and nurture relationships, aligning Colt’s products and solutions with client business / Public Services objectives.
4. Work collaboratively with Customer Success to strengthen client relationships and boost revenue.
5. Engage with Marketing and GLG (Global Lead Generation) teams to ensure quality lead generation.
6. Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales targets.
7. Lead and mentor virtual sales teams, supporting strategic account planning and execution.
8. Accurately manage forecasting and pipeline activities using proven sales methodologies.

What we're looking for:

1. Demonstrated success in growing revenue from existing and new business opportunities.
2. Experience managing complex, multi-divisional, Public Services sector accounts.
3. Ability to engage confidently with C-level executives, delivering impactful presentations and consultations.
4. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of forging strategic relationships.
5. Strong negotiation skills, effectively representing both client and company interests.
6. Excellent analytical ability, turning complex data into actionable business insights.
7. Proven experience in collaborating with and guiding cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Service Delivery).
8. Solid understanding of technology and data networking, with a commitment to staying current in the evolving technology landscape.
9. Decisive and confident, underpinned by solid business acumen and financial understanding.
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Education:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
