Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join a leading organisation in the payments space. As an Account Executive, you’ll support the growth and retention of existing clients, working closely with the Senior Account Manager to help drive long-term success.

You’ll gain experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, learning how to build account plans, develop client relationships, and help shape innovative payment solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the Senior Account Manager in identifying new business opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Build strong client relationships and support the delivery of account plans aligned with my client’s growth strategy in the UK & Ireland.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to spot new opportunities across the payments ecosystem.
  • Help manage day-to-day account activity, including contract renewals and the introduction of new products.
  • Collect and share customer feedback to help improve our offerings and tailor solutions to client needs.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is eager to grow, develop and learn in the payments and card issuing industry. You don’t need years of experience—just the drive to succeed, a client-first mindset, and the confidence to get involved.

  • Some experience or strong interest in payments, financial services, or tech-enabled industries.
  • Great communication skills – both verbal and written – with confidence talking to people at different levels.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable working with teams across different departments like product, sales, marketing or operations.
  • Organised and able to manage your time well.
  • Able to pick up technical concepts and turn them into practical business solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree or equivalent experience is a bonus, but not essential.
  • 1–3 years of work experience in a client-facing, account management, or business development role preferred – internships or entry-level roles in relevant industries also welcome.
  • An interest in financial services, payments, or fintech is ideal.

Why Join My Client?

  • Learn from experienced professionals and grow your career in the payments industry.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team with the opportunity to make a real impact.
  • Gain exposure to leading financial products and services used by clients across Europe.
  • Enjoy a central London location with hybrid working if needed & potential for domestic and international travel as you progress.
