Job description

Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Account Executive that can be based either in the UK or Switzerland but must be able to speak either German or French ideally both on behalf of one of our leading clients.


Our client, a leading company in private aviation, is seeking an Account Executive to act as a trusted consultative partner to their valued customers. The Account Executive will utilise their in-depth knowledge of private aviation programmes and services, along with a strong understanding of customer needs, to drive retention, increase sales, and expand flight activity.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Retention and Sales Growth:

  • Retain existing clients while identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
  • Monitor economic trends, customer flight patterns, and fleet plans to propose tailored solutions, such as renewals, upgrades, or additional purchases.
  • Leverage customer networks to generate referrals and expand the client base.

Account Management:

  • Manage timelines for contract renewals and card expirations.
  • Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track opportunities, customer communications, and day-to-day activities.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and insights to senior management.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of private aviation products, services, and policies, including billing, international travel, and booking processes.
  • Stay informed on product updates, new offerings, and industry developments.
  • Regularly engage with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings to gather feedback and identify opportunities to enhance their experience.
  • Address customer needs with a solution-focused approach while maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels of client organisations.
  • Ensure timely communication about regional events, service updates, and programme changes, managing attendance where applicable.

Proactive Problem-Solving:

  • Monitor client flight activity to identify and resolve potential service disruptions.
  • Celebrate service successes and upgrades with clients, reinforcing the value of the programme.
  • Conduct research and relationship-building to deeply understand customer goals and demonstrate how the client’s offerings align with those goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for sales experience.
  • Fluency in German and Business English (both written and spoken).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptable, service-oriented, and motivated to deliver positive results.
