About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking an Account Executive to join our Community Broking team at our Taunton office.

This role involves supporting the Community Broking Team(s) to achieve sales and renewal income targets through effective sales and relationship management. You will conduct client review meetings to maximize business opportunities and support strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

  1. Achieve individual and team targets as set and agreed.
  2. Identify new prospects, decision makers, and renewal dates, using our database and research, proactively calling prospects, and running regional campaigns.
  3. Handle and reorganize new leads and client meetings.
  4. Maintain a diary and activity log to manage daily income generation.
  5. Provide professional support and advice to clients, ensuring high service levels and meeting client needs, maximizing cross-sell opportunities.
  6. Maintain ongoing relationships with key clients through review meetings and communication.
  7. Manage time and resources effectively to visit clients cost-effectively, including mid-term meetings.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues in the commercial development team to maximize opportunities.
  9. Present in partnership with colleagues to maximize opportunities.
  10. Underwrite scheme policies within authority levels and referral guidelines.
  11. Focus on collecting client payments within company guidelines.
  12. Assist in developing payment plans through cross-selling and supporting new and existing plans.
  13. Represent Lloyd & Whyte professionally at external events and customer visits.
  14. Research potential new markets, products, prospects, and introducers.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  1. Experience working within the UK Insurance Market.
  2. Previous experience in a similar AE/Sales role.
  3. Cert CII qualification or equivalent experience.
