This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent writing skills and a keen interest in the business side of music to work with organisations across all areas of the industry – current and recent clients include the Association of Independent Music (AIM), Believe UK, Exceleration Music, FUGA, IDOL, Mahogany, Proper Music Distribution, and Sony Music UK.

You will engage with some of the biggest topics in music today, including but not limited to challenges for independent labels and artists, AI, the streaming economy, and ticket touting. As a small, dynamic team, there is lots of opportunity to get stuck in and progress quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with day-to-day PR activities across multiple clients, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time
  • Write press releases, opinion pieces, socials copy and pitches
  • Participate in client communications, including contributing to meetings and calls
  • Keep on top of all client admin and reporting
  • Monitor industry news and trends to identify relevant media opportunities for clients
  • Build and maintain media lists, and begin nurturing relationships with key journalists in the music trade and wider press
  • Report to account managers, taking ownership of your workload while knowing when to escalate or seek support
  • Support with company admin and office tasks, as well as helping out on occasional consumer PR projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong interest in B2B communications, with ideally at least a year’s experience in a previous PR or journalism role
  • Excellent writing and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work across multiple projects to a high standard
  • Experience building relationships with journalists, with an understanding of key music trade, business and tech titles
  • A genuine interest in the inner workings of the music business
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, professional attitude and a desire to grow within a specialist PR agency environment

Benefits:

  • Salary: £28,550 PA
  • Personal wellness budget, covering gym membership and more
  • Hybrid working with two days in our London office (on a boat on the Regent’s Canal!) and three days from home
  • Opportunities to attend industry events and conferences
  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a day’s birthday leave and office closure between Christmas and New Year
