Is this the role for you?

Paramount UK is seeking an experienced Account Director to support our Group Account Director in driving revenue growth across our digital and streaming platforms, including PlutoTV, Paramount+, and our YouTube channels. The role involves managing programmatic partnerships with advertising agencies and utilizing buy and sell-side ad tech partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital and streaming/CTV advertising sales, especially with programmatic technologies. They should have a proven track record of growth via media agencies and tech intermediaries and possess deep knowledge of programmatic advertising ecosystems (Ad Exchanges, Deal IDs, RTB, DSPs, DMPs, SSPs). This self-starter will excel in developing strategies, coordinating with partners, and translating complex capabilities into compelling benefits for clients. Strong analytical skills, industry relationships, and a passion for new technologies are essential to support Paramount's growth in the UK market and foster client relationships, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the company's leadership in digital video.

What will you be doing?
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Position Paramount Streaming's programmatic solutions as critical to advertisers' media strategies to increase revenue.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, and platform partners to influence investment decisions.
  • Develop Compelling Narratives: Create persuasive stories demonstrating how audience-driven programmatic media enhances performance and outcomes.
  • Align Sales Efforts: Ensure programmatic sales strategies complement direct and managed service sales to meet revenue goals.
Client Engagement & Influence
  • Consultative Sales: Lead engagements with advertisers to align investments with their marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work with DSPs, SSPs, resellers, and data providers to maximize revenue through audience activation pathways.
  • Craft Proposals: Develop programmatic-first proposals with sales teams to encourage adoption and investment.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events and forums to showcase leadership in programmatic innovation.
Team Coordination and Leadership
  • Work closely with the Group AD to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Supervise and mentor Account Managers.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management and Ad Ops teams for campaign success.
Platform Knowledge and Innovation
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of Paramount's digital and streaming ecosystem, including My5, PlutoTV, Paramount+, and YouTube channels.
  • Stay updated on digital video advertising developments and communicate updates internally and externally.
  • Assist in developing innovative advertising solutions highlighting platform features.
  • Provide feedback on market demand and new features to product, marketing, and management teams.
What are we looking for?
  • Extensive experience in programmatic advertising sales, especially digital video and streaming platforms in the UK.
  • Strong background in advertising or technology sales, focusing on media agencies and intermediaries.
  • Deep knowledge of Programmatic Advertising Technologies (e.g., Ad Exchanges, Deal IDs, RTB, DSPs, DMPs, SSPs).
  • Strong network within programmatic teams at media agencies.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysis, with strategic thinking skills.
  • Understanding of the UK CTV advertising landscape and trends.
  • Familiarity with tools like FreeWheel, ClearCast, and other programmatic platforms.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
