As an Account Director, you’ll be a trusted advisor, delivering strategic crisis management solutions, media training, and tailored response strategies to maritime clients.
This is a client-facing position with no direct reports, but you’ll play a key role in mentoring and guiding junior team members, helping them build their skills in crisis management.
The role is based in the London office five days a week, involving regular travel to meet clients and manage on-site crisis situations.
While this position requires a strong professional presence, a flexible environment is offered to accommodate life’s needs.
What You’ll Do:
As an Account Director, you will lead efforts in crisis management, guiding clients through complex maritime incidents. You’ll leverage your maritime expertise to advise on operational, reputational, and regulatory challenges, providing practical solutions.
Additionally, you’ll prepare senior executives for media engagements through tailored media training, ensuring they handle public situations confidently.
You’ll develop and implement customized crisis strategies aligned with each client’s needs, drawing on maritime industry knowledge.
While business development is not the primary focus, you are expected to identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, build trust, and expand service scope.
About You:
You have extensive experience in the maritime industry, understanding operational, regulatory, and crisis management needs.
You have managed high-pressure scenarios, offering practical solutions while working closely with senior executives.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Your proactive client relationship approach will help identify growth opportunities.
You also have experience in PR, communications, or marketing, especially where these intersect with crisis management and client communications, enabling you to deliver tailored strategies and media training for maritime executives.
