Job Title: Account Director – Commercial & Mid-Corporate Insurance
Working Pattern: Birmingham, with hybrid working options
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and client-focused Account Director to join our team, managing a portfolio of Commercial and Mid-Corporate clients. You’ll be the key link between clients, brokers, and underwriters — ensuring tailored, competitively priced insurance solutions are delivered with efficiency and care.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments for Commercial and Mid-Corporate accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and underwriters
Prepare and review high-quality market presentations and documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to grow your book of business
Support junior colleagues and contribute to team success
What You’ll Bring
Experience in commercial or mid-corporate insurance
Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in relevant systems (Acturis and Outlook desirable)
A collaborative, client-first approach with a drive to deliver results
Qualifications
GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
A-Levels (or equivalent) desirable
Working towards or holding ACII (or equivalent insurance qualification) desirable
