Job summary

A leading print management company in the UK is seeking an Account Director to oversee client accounts and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for team management, sales performance, budget alignment, and excellent client service, fostering a positive team environment and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a team, demonstrating leadership, encouragement, motivation, and delegation to ensure your team’s success.
  • Ongoing team member development to meet KPIs.
  • Encourage a culture of recognition and reward.
  • Provide regular updates to the Managing Director, including reports on team and company performance.
  • Drive sales performance and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to review budgets vs actuals and implement necessary changes for profitability and stability.
  • Produce quotations and secure orders aligned with the company’s gross profit targets.
  • Maintain excellent client service and rapport.
  • Handle all incoming new business inquiries, establishing requirements, introducing the business, and offering solutions.
  • Introduce our print management specialists to explore opportunities within the company.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve overall group objectives.

Our client is one of the leading print management companies in the UK.

The Account Director will have P & L responsibility, as well as responsibility for the retention and revenue development of all Client accounts within the business. You would be required to positively help promote and support the growth of the business and help create a positive, proactive, “can-do” team environment.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

Skills Required:

  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced, direct environment.
  • Experience in Direct Mail, Mail Fulfillment, and Postage Account Management.
  • Knowledge of UK & International postal services and products.
  • Good understanding of printing & mailing machinery capabilities.
  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable; training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.
