We have a fantastic opportunity for a new role as Regional Account Manager to work in our dynamic Sales team at The Belfry, England’s leading Hotel and Resort, who recently won the miaList Best Sales and Marketing Team, a testament to their excellent customer relationships and results-driven work ethic. We have an exciting year ahead at The Belfry, with hosting The British Masters in August 2024, and continuing with the extensive investment in the Resort.

The Belfry has 320 bedrooms, 22 function rooms, 2 Rosette standard dining, five food and beverage outlets, fantastic leisure facilities including 20 treatment rooms & pool, and of course, what we are famous for… golf.

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will play a vital role in representing all areas of our renowned resort and be part of the launch of exciting expansion. You will primarily manage the local corporate and agency accounts, along with local business partners. This resort-based role comes with a competitive salary, car allowance, and an annual bonus scheme.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Manage an existing local account portfolio of both corporate and agents
  2. Actively prospect for new business opportunities within the defined customer segment, aligned with The Belfry's business plan
  3. Drive revenue growth, and win additional events from all segments at The Belfry, supporting the conversion of sales leads through effective communication, conducting site visits, and providing exceptional customer service.
  4. Actively promote The Belfry through participation at industry exhibitions, client events, local networking opportunities, and familiarisation visits.
  5. Identify and seize opportunities for profit, client value creation, and innovative solutions.
  6. Provide support and collaborate with the on-site Events Team.
About you

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales & account management with a minimum of 2 years sales experience within the hotel industry. You should demonstrate success in developing and maintaining client relationships. Working within a large sales team, you will be a collaborative and supportive team player, with the ability to bring positivity and energy to continue the team’s success.

In addition, you will have:

  • Familiarity with industry exhibitions, networking events, and client engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to conduct effective resort visits, understanding and addressing client requirements.
  • Experience in utilising relevant software and systems such as Sales Force, Delphi, and Opera.
  • The ability to represent the company at industry associations and events.
  • A passion for achieving targets and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective strategies.
  • The ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, drive revenue growth, and maximise profitability.
  • Knowledge of venues within the UK with whom the Resort competes.
