Job description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of our fast-growing German Doner Kebab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and ledgers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
  • Support payroll administration and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports, summaries, and analyses as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage month-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Handle supplier queries and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure all financial operations adhere to company policies and relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance-related role, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
