Job Description:

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Pulse Nursing offers a variety of shift patterns and flexible hours across day and night shifts in friendly, welcoming teams around Stoke.

Rates for the A&E Nurse position range from £26.00 to £44.10 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on severity.
  • Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, including life-saving measures when necessary.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Assisting the medical team with diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
  • Administering medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
  • Initiating and maintaining intravenous access for fluids and medications.
  • Assisting with minor procedures, wound care, and patient immobilization.

Requirements for A&E Nurse role:

  • NMC Registration (minimum 6 months)
  • At least 6 months experience in A&E, with two references for verification
  • Meeting framework compliance including DBS, Occupational Health, and an updated CV
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
