One to One Personnel is partnering with a leading brand seeking an Accessories Product Developer based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in wholesale or retail accessories, with a strong portfolio and in-depth knowledge of product development. This role involves collaboration with designers and coordinating production from factories, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.

Wholesale Retail Sector

Central London | Office Based | £35,000 to £40,000

One to One Personnel is proud to partner with a globally recognised brand who are currently seeking an experienced Accessories Product Developer to join their dynamic team based in Central London.

You’ll work across key brands including Hoodrich, FILA, and Sergio Tacchini, supporting the full product development cycle. Although based in London, occasional travel to other UK offices is required and subsidised by the company.

To be considered, you must have at least five years of experience in a similar role within the wholesale or retail accessories industry, ideally with lifestyle or streetwear brands. A strong portfolio showcasing relevant development work is essential.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • The Product Developer should have a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, Fashion or related field
  • Technical knowledge of accessories product, materials, construction techniques and finishes
  • Have visited suppliers in the far east or Europe
  • A keen eye for detail and quality
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Solution orientated – problem solver, flexible and adaptable, resilient
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and meet critical deadlines
  • Experience of working close to production and international factories
  • The ability to take initiative and to prioritize work tasks
  • People skills and tact
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop products and coordinate production for all collections
  • Work closely with the accessory’s designer
  • Create line lists and pricelists
  • Negotiate with factories for FOB’s and keep track of pricing from suppliers
  • Responsible for ensuring all samples are developed to targeted deadlines, with the desired aesthetic
  • Responsible for Prototypes, SMS and Pre-Production/QR requests and follow-up to factories
  • Research materials, components, construction techniques and finishes
  • Carry out visual research, sketches, Tech Packs and mock-ups/salpas as required for product development
  • Accountable for the accuracy of for Tech Packs and BOMs sent out to factories
  • Accountable for providing clarity on current sampling, shipment status, raw material stock and budget status
  • Keep updated the WIP report
  • Shipment Tracker file
  • Communicate timeline conflicts, quality risks, changes, and action items daily
  • Identify and communicate any quality control concerns and implement processes to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and standards
  • Develop effective working relationships with suppliers and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, ensuring information flows between all actors of the process
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all of the Critical Path dates are met
  • Manage all day-to-day communication with factories and suppliers
  • Schedule fitting and production meetings to ensure milestones are met
  • Accountable for all the information entered in our WIP report
  • Manage showroom samples
  • Travelling to factories and fairs if needed
  • Show preparation and coordination
