Job description
Accessibility Tester (HeadMouse, Tobii Dynavox, Eye Gaze, Switch Systems)

Employer: Fable, Location: Remote, Salary: Starting at £34 per hour, based on experience, Closing date: 7 Oct 2025

Fable empowers individuals with disabilities to actively participate in and shape society by equipping them with professional skills, on-the-job learning, and work experience through our three core products: Fable Engage, Fable Upskill, and Fable Pathways.

We are seeking individuals with disabilities who rely on AAC solutions (such as HeadMouse, Tobii Dynavox products, eye gaze software, switch systems, etc.) to navigate digital experiences. Qualified candidates for this role will be asked to join our Community as Accessibility Testers. In this role, you will provide valuable feedback on digital products, ensuring they are accessible and user-friendly for all.

This is a gig-work / on-demand opportunity.

What you’ll do

  • Test websites and apps using your assistive technology.
  • Share insights on your daily internet navigation experience.
  • Participate in virtual research sessions.
  • Provide written feedback and complete surveys.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must rely on alternative navigation solutions (such as HeadMouse, Tobii Dynavox AAC solutions, eye gaze software, switch systems, and more) to navigate digital experiences.
  • Identify as a person with a disability.
  • Reside in Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate feedback effectively.
  • Use digital products (such as websites, mobile apps, and software tools) regularly.
  • No previous testing experience required — we provide paid training to help you get started.
  • 100% remote work from the comfort of your home.
  • Flexible scheduling — choose projects that suit your availability.
  • Be among the first UK Community members to have access to guaranteed-hour opportunities.
  • Create an account on Fable's platform and verify it via email.
  • Complete your profile by providing information about your assistive technology use and work preferences.
  • A Fable team member will reach out to complete a sample task and guide you through the onboarding process.
