Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking an Accessibility Specialist to embed accessibility across its digital services. You will test with assistive technologies, review audits and provide guidance to stakeholders and suppliers to deliver accessible products.

You will work within Corporate Centre Services to embed accessibility throughout procurement, design, delivery and maintenance lifecycles and ensure compliance with WCAG standards, helping teams deliver inclusive services at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience using assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools (screen readers, magnifiers, voice recognition software)
• Strong stakeholder management skills to influence colleagues, senior leaders and suppliers
• Experience reviewing accessibility audits, identifying risks and providing evidence-based recommendations
• Experience assessing websites and apps against WCAG and explaining user impact

Responsibilities

• Embed accessibility across DWP digital services and procurement, design, delivery and maintenance lifecycles
• Provide expert advice and assurance on accessibility requirements to teams and suppliers
• Review accessibility evidence (audits, ACRs, accessibility statements) and identify risks
• Support testing activities and help resolve accessibility issues before go-live
• Champion accessibility across the organisation and develop capability of colleagues and suppliers
