A leading UK rail operator is seeking an experienced and passionate Accessibility & Integrated Transport Manager to lead its strategy for inclusive and accessible travel. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring all customers - regardless of ability - can travel with confidence and ease.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Strategy, you'll work with internal departments, government bodies, industry partners, and customer panels to embed accessibility across every stage of the passenger journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the company's accessibility and inclusion strategy
  • Oversee the Accessible Travel Policy and ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010
  • Deliver key commitments to the Department for Transport, including accessibility training and reporting
  • Improve accessibility across stations and services, from physical infrastructure to information provision
  • Develop partnerships with local authorities, integrated transport bodies, and other operators to support door-to-door journey improvements
  • Represent the business in national forums, working groups, and cross-industry initiatives
  • Lead the internal Accessibility Group, engaging with customer panels and driving continuous improvement
  • Ensure accurate accessibility information is shared via industry tools and platforms
  • Investigate accessibility complaints or incidents, ensuring timely resolution and learning
  • Promote and market accessibility initiatives internally and externally

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in accessibility, inclusion, or transport integration
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Solid project management experience, including policy development and delivery
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practice
  • Excellent communication skills - confident working with a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive change across multiple teams and partners
