Job summary

United Infrastructure Power Transmission & Distribution (UIPTD) in the UK is seeking an Access Civil Engineer to join our civils team, delivering designs from feasibility through to construction support for 132-400kV OHL projects. The role requires a degree in civil engineering, 3+ years’ experience, proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, and strong communication within multidisciplinary teams.

A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3+ years delivering civil projects including access/highway design.
• Familiarity with DMRB, BS, CDM 2015, and planning processes.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs for access and highway layouts.
• Perform swept-path analyses to optimise turning paths for large plant.
• Ensure designs comply with DMRB and local guidelines.
• Support construction teams with site visits, RFIs, and design reviews.
• Liaise with planning authorities to secure approvals.
