Job description

You’ve Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”

You didn’t get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that’s the job. You’ll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You’ll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won’t be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You’re here to build what’s next.

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

THE WORK:
  • You’ll lead the project controls function, overseeing scheduling, cost management, estimating, risk management, and change control across complex capital projects.
  • You’ll establish, maintain, and enforce project controls processes that align with project governance requirements and corporate standards.
  • You’ll manage project performance against approved budgets, financial baselines, and key performance indicators, partnering closely with project leadership and finance teams.
  • You’ll develop and maintain project forecasts, cash flow analyses, cost reports, and performance metrics to support informed decision‑making.
  • You’ll oversee schedule development, progress tracking, critical path analysis, and schedule risk assessments to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • You’ll integrate cost, schedule, and risk data to provide a comprehensive view of project health, trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
  • You’ll lead change management activities, evaluating impacts to scope, schedule, and cost while ensuring adherence to established change control processes.
  • You’ll maintain project risk registers, facilitate mitigation planning, and proactively monitor risk response actions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You’ll prepare and present executive‑level reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance analyses to stakeholders, steering committees, and senior leadership.

You’ll ensure compliance with project management frameworks, financial policies, quality standards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across the project controls organization.

ON SITE AT CLIENT SITE: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

  • With all our roles, there is some in‑person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of construction management experience, including experience supporting regulated life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, cleanroom, or manufacturing facilities
  • 7 years in senior leadership roles managing large project controls teams
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-contractor programs with significant budgets
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, cost management systems, and project performance analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, construction sequencing, and design-development processes
  • Proven leadership capabilities managing large multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Advanced Autodesk, Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization and forecasting tools
  • Strategic thinker, team leader, adaptable, detail-oriented, and collaborative across functional areas

$180,000 - $210,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.

We will accept applications until October 30th, 2026.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it’s complex and it matters, it’s on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You’ll use it, and you’ll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That’s the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR’s 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction’s Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture’s global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we’re on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.

We believe that no one should be discriminated against because of their differences. All employment decisions shall be made without regard to age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status or any other basis as protected by federal, state, or local law.
