ABOUT YOU

You have an in-depth understanding of S/4HANA Cloud, public edition relative to functionality, business value, competitive positioning in the market, and in relation to SAP’s full solution suite and overall product strategy. You are proactive; not simply asking how you can help, but leading from the front with passion, creativity, and playing a vital part in the sales engagement. You understand the complexities within the buying cycle, lead with a consultative solution/advisor demeanor when navigating customer conversations.

The Sr. S/4HANA Public Cloud Sales Specialist will be familiar with, and comfortable working in, a highly matrixed environment, partnering effectively with Sales, Center of Excellence (COE), Customer Success (services, adoption, consumption, etc.), Value Add Team (VAT), Alliance Partners, and the Customer. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsibility for revenue target
  • Funnel Growth (new demand/pipeline)
  • A subject matter expert responsible for advocating into the field and market

THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY

The Sr. S/4HANA Public Cloud Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales and will participate in pipeline development, sales enablement strategy, and execution of individual revenue targets and customer-specific outcomes. This role executes the Line of Business (LOB) operating model and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy.

The specialist collaborates with other stakeholders focused on cross-brand LOB strategy and execution across all GTM segments. Individual contribution and leadership involve creating, driving sales, and providing subject matter expertise throughout the entire sales cycle. Success is measured on net new pipeline, sales, consumption, adoption, and renewals. The role also involves providing accurate weekly forecast reports, maintaining sales engagement details, and ensuring system hygiene. This position is pivotal in collaborating with the market unit field sales organization to lead, enable, and educate additional sellers on SAP’s Public Cloud solutions and their market positioning.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

LEAD & INSPIRE

  • Lead designated territory, including account management, prospect profiling, and sales cycles.
  • Develop strategic account plans to ensure revenue targets and sustainable growth.
  • Set vision and strategy for the sales team; develop specific MU sales plans for growth.
  • Conduct account and opportunity reviews with leadership.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers based on knowledge and commitment to value.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Create and accelerate enablement of the wider SAP sales team.
  • Collaborate with extended sales teams, including Industry, LOB, Marketing, Development, S/4HANA Center of Excellence, etc.

CULTIVATE & GROW

  • Ensure account teams and partners are aligned with account strategies and customer touchpoints.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders for leverage and future opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline management approach, with 4x funnel coverage.
  • Leverage support organizations to generate new opportunities.
  • Coordinate resources to execute successful sales strategies.
  • Keep CRM data accurate and up-to-date.

ANALYZE & INNOVATE

  • Understand customer technology footprints, growth plans, and competitive landscape.
  • Leverage SAP solutions to innovate customer journeys.
  • Stay informed about competitive solutions and support team efforts in competitive situations.
  • Collaborate internally to drive adoption and consumption, aiming for referenceable customers.
  • Use value engineering, benchmarking, and ROI data to support customer decisions.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Experience with software/IT organizations and proficiency in Enterprise and/or LOB software solutions through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Consulting, or Business Development roles.
  • Experience with SAP products and/or extensive software sales experience in Cloud offerings.
  • Leverage a professional network to drive market, pipeline, and revenue growth.
  • Ability to connect with customers using industry-specific language.
  • Fluency in English or other languages; fluency in local market language is required.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
