Your Key Responsibilities

The Accelerator participates in experiential, mentoring, and formal training to prepare for final placement in locations such as Fort Mill, Cheraw, Wooster, Troy, Joplin, Danbury, Stratford, Puebla, or Irapuato.

This 2-year program offers hands-on experience for Engineers or business professionals interested in leadership roles. Participants work in various departments across Schaeffler's North American plants and offices, rotating every six months (four rotations) based on their career path: Automotive Manufacturing Leadership, Industrial Manufacturing Leadership, R&D, Quality, or Purchasing.

Participants will have specific Learning Goals, coordinate with mentors and management, and participate in "Week-in-the-Life" shadowing. They will present major accomplishments at the end of each rotation to leadership teams. Performance evaluations occur at 3 and 6 months per rotation, based on company standards and competencies. Additional leadership, product knowledge, and other relevant trainings are included, along with attendance at an annual conference for networking and development.

The position requires understanding and adherence to the company's Quality, Safety, and Environment policies. Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors as needed.

Your Qualifications

Technical:

  • At least two co-op or internship experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong mathematical, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and GD&T
  • Basic gauging skills and understanding of testing and verification processes
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred

Interpersonal:

  • Willingness to relocate every six months
  • Self-directed with strong communication skills
  • Ability to present confidently to management and clients

Educational:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or higher
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles including materials, design, dynamics, and structures
