ACCA Level 7 Accounts and Audit Apprentice

Summary
For the past four years, Shenward has successfully operated a graduate and apprenticeship scheme, offering participants an excellent environment to develop their skills and gain experience across all areas of accounting.

Wage
£26,000 a year
The wage can be negotiable depending on candidate experience.

Training course
Accountancy or taxation professional (level 7)

Hours
Start times vary between 8.30am and 9.00am, finishing between 5.00pm and 5.30pm, or 4.30pm on a Friday. Shenward offers a flexible start and finish time depending on the lunch break.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by gaining hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work
  • Manage and interact with your own portfolio of clients to ensure high standards of bookkeeping.
  • Perform general daily bookkeeping tasks, maintain sales ledgers, prepare supplier payments, and reconcile bank/credit card statements.
  • Ensure items are processed correctly into client books.
  • Prepare management reports and VAT returns monthly/quarterly.
  • Respond to emails promptly and efficiently.
  • Support clients with Making Tax Digital.
  • Assist senior accountants with year-end accounts and tax returns for various business structures.
  • Support team administration tasks.
