Job summary

Sportsmith is seeking an Academy Sports Scientist to monitor and record anthropometric data for Academy players, and to plan and implement strength and conditioning sessions for all Academy players. You will coordinate testing and screening sessions and collaborate with the Senior Academy Physiotherapist to support rehab and performance development.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record anthropometric data for Academy aged players.
• Plan and implement individual and group strength and conditioning sessions for all Academy players.
• Plan and implement individual group testing and screening sessions for all Academy players.
• Collaborate with the Senior Academy Physiotherapist to provide rehab-focused physical development training for injured Academy players.
• Work with coaches and the multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver training that optimises player development and performance.
• Provide athletic development profiles for all Academy players.
• Attend and contribute to In-service CPD for Academy Sports Science and Medicine staff.
• Attend and actively participate in Academy Management staff meetings, reporting on issues across phases including player performance and development.
