An established industry player in football is seeking an Academy Recruitment Coordinator for U14's-U15's. This role involves identifying and recruiting talented players for the academy, ensuring compliance with FA and Premier League regulations. You will play a crucial role in developing relationships within the football community, coordinating scouting efforts, and managing player databases. Academy Recruitment Coordinator U14's - U15's
Reporting to the Academy Head of Recruitment (HOR), the Academy Recruitment Manager U14’s-U15’s will support the HOR in identifying and recruiting players suitable for the Club’s Academy structure, who are capable of being developed through its Player Development Pathway. This includes players aged U14-U15 for its Academy Programmes. All players must be recruited in line with FA/Premier League/EFL/EPPP rules and Leyton Orient Football Club’s recruitment strategy.
• Play a leading role in identifying, assessing, and tracking players aged U14-U15 for Leyton Orient Football Club’s academy, using modern scouting methods against the LOFC player profiles.
• Develop & maintain a comprehensive database of identified players, leagues, football clubs, and recruitment sources.
• Coordinate scouts to attend fixtures and manage their reporting.
• Complete administrative duties to register trialists according to FA/PL/EFL/EPPP rules.
• Conduct player/parent inductions for trialists entering the Academy.
• Participate in decision-making for trialist outcomes.
• Provide feedback to players/parents on progress and outcomes.
• Conduct due diligence to support player signings.
• Develop relationships across the wider football community to support recruitment.
• Liaise with staff to provide insights during recruitment meetings.
• Provide weekly updates on players and recruitment activities in operations meetings.
A good knowledge of academy football, EPPP, and grassroots football scene.
FA Safeguarding Children Certification.
Experience in talent identification, recruitment, and development.
Ability to organise own time proactively.
Good technical and tactical knowledge.
Full Driving License.
Experience developing relationships with leagues, governing bodies, and grassroots clubs.
FA Talent Identification Level 3.
Experience working within an EPPP Academy.
Previous similar or equivalent role experience.
Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
