Job summary

Leeds United FC in Leeds is seeking a professional Academy Matchday Co-ordinator to support the delivery of fixtures and events at Thorp Arch and other Leeds United sites. This casual role covers matchdays, weekends, evenings and academy events as required, ensuring safe, smooth operations and a positive experience for players, staff and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Academy matchday operations at Thorp Arch and other Academy venues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for visiting teams, players, coaches, officials and guests.
• Support the smooth running of Academy fixtures before, during and after matches.
• Work collaboratively with Security and Matchday teams to ensure efficient site operations.
• Assist with parking, site access, restricted areas and spectator management.
• Welcome and support visiting teams, staff and players.
• Meet and greet match officials upon arrival and facilitate briefings.
• Provide guidance to parents, spectators, scouts and visitors.
• Promote a positive and professional image of Leeds United Academy.
• Monitor scout attendance and manage matchday documentation.
• Ensure appropriate accreditation for visitors.
• Act as Matchday Designated Safeguarding Officer.
• Monitor behaviour per Codes of Conduct and report safeguarding concerns.
• Support safeguarding systems such as My Concern.
• Support welfare and wellbeing of Academy players.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor access to Academy-only areas.
• Assist with security briefings and site checks.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
• Prepare operational areas ahead of fixtures and organise signage and changing rooms.
• Arrange refreshments for match officials and staff.
• Lead matchday preparations with security and Academy staff.
• Oversee post-match departure and site reset.
• Coordinate post-match catering where required.
• Complete post-event administration and reporting.
