Job summary

Bristol Rovers FC is looking for an Academy Lead Physiotherapist to lead the organisation and development of its academy medical department, focusing on assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for academy players within the Sport Science and Medicine team.

You will coordinate the medical department, lead the youth development phase care pathway and oversee U18s matchday coverage, while ensuring safeguarding and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with experience of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
• Strong communication with management and coaching staff.
• Committed to safeguarding, equality and health and safety.

• Lead the running of the medical department and attend medical and weekly planning meetings.
• Lead screening, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for Youth Development Phase players.
• Help line manage the sports therapists working with the schoolboy programme.
• Lead U18s matchday cover.
• Manage the injury audit database and produce a monthly injury audit.
• Maintain medical equipment, emergency action plans and up-to-date medical notes.
• Cover first-team training when required by the Head of Medical.
