Job summary

Burnley Football Club is seeking an Academy Junior Sports Scientist to support the development of players and provide a first-class experience for players, staff and supporters.

The role involves coordinating GPS data collection for youth squads, supporting youth development activities, and working with the Head of Academy Human Performance and Medicine and Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Role Expectations

As the Academy Junior Sports Scientist, youwill be expected to:

• Liaise with Head of Academy Human Performance and Medicine and Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach regarding players within the YDP.


• Lead the organisation and planning of GPS data collection for the U16s.


• Provide support to the YDP through pitch-based syllabus and ILP sessions.
