The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and driven Academy Development Sports Scientist to join us at Burnley Football Club.

About You

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience working within the YDP or PDP phases and can build trusting relationships across the Club. You will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Role Expectations

As the Academy Development Sports Scientist, you will be expected to:

  1. Lead the planning, delivery, and analysis of U18 sport science provision including pre-activation, pitch-based warm up, conditioning, regular gym-based sessions, and ILP sessions.
  2. Support the YDP program alongside the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach to ensure effective transitions of U15/U16 players into the Scholarship.
  3. Distribute, process, and analyse GPS data in a timely fashion to provide updates to coaches and the wider MDT.
