The University of Sheffield International College is seeking an academic tutor to teach in our Pre-Masters and International Foundation year in Social Science and/or Humanities modules. The post holder will be part of the College’s Social Science and Humanities Team.
About the Role
The post holder will be responsible for teaching Level 3 and Level 6 modules within our Social Science and Humanities pathways, delivered to groups of international students. The role includes marking assessments and providing feedback to students.
The successful candidate should be competent in IT skills related to teaching, including Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs). They will also act as a Module Coordinator, leading the teaching team, conducting Quality Assurance procedures, and ensuring teaching materials are current. Creating formative and summative assessments is also part of the role.
The candidate should be able to work flexibly in a team, contribute to meetings, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
