Job Title: Academic Recruitment Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Location: London Preferred, but UK (Flexible/Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented recruiter with proven experience in academic staff recruitment within UK higher education. Whether operating in-house or through an agency, you will lead end-to-end hiring for academic roles across universities and colleges, including senior education professionals. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering large-scale recruitment campaigns, managing academic open days and assessment centres, and consistently achieving recruitment KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for academic staff and senior education roles across higher education institutions.
  • Lead high-volume and campaign-based recruitment initiatives, including open days and academic hiring events.
  • Build strong partnerships with academic departments, HR, and leadership teams to understand hiring needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top academic talent.
  • Monitor and meet performance metrics and KPIs while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Stay up to date with sector trends and relevant UK compliance and employment practices in HE recruitment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience recruiting academic staff in UK higher or further education (agency or in-house).
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management, and campaign delivery skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vacancies and recruitment timelines effectively.
  • Results-focused, with a strong track record of meeting recruitment targets and KPIs.
  • Confident in planning and leading academic recruitment campaigns and events
