Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for an Academic Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology with a focus on congenital cardiac MRI. The post supports both clinical care for children and regional services from LTHT, with a strong emphasis on teaching and leadership.

The role includes developing a research programme in congenital cardiac MRI, funded for 3 years by the University of Leeds, and opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary governance and trainee supervision.

Qualifications

• MB BS (or equivalent) and must be on the UK Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT.
• Higher research degree (PhD/MD) and involvement in research activity.
• Established skills in Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Cardiac MRI.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Willingness for full or part-time work and potential job-share.

Responsabilités

• Deliver consultant-led in-patient and outpatient care for children with cardiac disease within LTHT and the region.
• Contribute to the congenital cardiac MRI service and lead the paediatric cardiology high-risk service.
• Develop a research programme in congenital cardiac MRI with dedicated time funded (4 PAs) by the University of Leeds for 3 years.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, governance, and training for trainees.
