Job Description:

Are you a recent graduate or a subject specialist in Maths, English or Science? Schools in Oldham are seeking Academic Mentors to work with students who need extra support in core subjects. This role is available for a September 2025 start, with the possibility of joining sooner.

You’ll work alongside teaching staff to support small groups or individual students, helping them to close gaps in understanding and build confidence in their academic progress.

This role would suit:

Graduates in a related subject

Individuals considering teacher training

Candidates with tutoring or coaching experience

What’s involved:

Delivering catch-up sessions

Supporting pupils in class and in intervention groups

Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff

This is a great stepping stone into teaching or educational psychology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
