Job summary

Newcastle University is seeking a Library Academic Engagement professional to design, develop and deliver digital and information literacy teaching. You will work with staff and students, provide one-to-one support, and promote library services to Schools.

The role involves creating online resources, coordinating with Faculty Engagement Librarians and contributing to library projects. Blended on-campus and remote work with 0.8 FTE pattern is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working in academic libraries.
• Experience using information resources and digital tools for varying study levels.
• Proven ability to design and deliver information literacy teaching across formats.
• Up-to-date knowledge of teaching and learning in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality digital, information and research skills teaching.
• Develop online multimedia resources and learning activities for diverse study levels.
• Provide one-to-one support on academic information resources and tools.
• Coordinate with Schools and engage with faculty to tailor library services.
