Job summary

The Police Federation of England and Wales is seeking an ACA-qualified accountant to lead the finance system implementation. You will work across finance, IT and the implementation partner to configure, test, migrate data and train users for the go-live of the new system.

With extensive experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV, you will help embed robust processes and controls while delivering hands-on support through the 4–6 month project. HQ Leatherhead, on-site role.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with post-qualification experience in finance functions.
• Extensive experience delivering accounting system implementations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key member of the finance system implementation team.
• Collaborate with the finance, IT and implementation partner to deliver the project plan.
• Review configuration to align with finance requirements.
• Support finance leadership with SME input during implementation.
• Assist issue resolution and decision-making during the project.
• Lead data cleansing and migration for financial data.
• Validate COA, supplier/customer records, fixed assets and budgets.
• Develop and execute UAT plans and scripts.
• Coordinate finance user testing activities and track defects.
• Support go-live and stabilisation activities post-implementation.
• Ensure robust reporting and financial controls within the new system.
