Job summary

SJC Partners is seeking an experienced AC & Refrigeration Working Supervisor to lead a team of around 5 engineers in the Peterborough area. The role spans office and site-based work, focusing on industrial HVAC and refrigeration including VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and cold rooms.

This hands-on supervisory position offers a clear route towards Project Manager, with duties ranging from estimating and project coordination to client liaison and commissioning paperwork.

Qualifications

• Strong industrial HVAC/AC/refrigeration experience.
• Supervisory, lead engineer or senior engineer background preferred.
• Confident in managing engineers and client relations.
• Experience with estimating, quoting and commissioning paperwork.
• Commercial awareness of margins and variations.
• Full UK driving licence.

We are recruiting for an established business looking for an experienced AC & Refrigeration Working Supervisor to join their Peterborough team.

This is a hands‑on supervisory role managing a team of around 5 engineers, with a mix of office and site‑based work across the surrounding area.

The role focuses predominantly on industrial AC and refrigeration, including VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and cold rooms, alongside wider HVAC work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of engineers.
• Support maintenance, installation and project works.
• Build strong client relationships.
• Oversee commissioning paperwork.
• Prepare estimates, quotations and variations.
• Support project delivery, margins and invoicing.
• Work alongside the Project Manager with a clear route towards Project Manager.

About You

• Strong industrial HVAC/AC/refrigeration experience.
• Previous Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer experience preferred.
• Confident managing engineers and dealing with clients.
• Experience with estimating, quoting and commissioning paperwork.
• Commercially aware with an understanding of margins and variations.
• Full UK driving licence.

Package

• Up to £50,000, depending on experience.
• Monday-Friday, 40 hours.
• No on‑call requirement.
