Job summary

Thermatic Technical FM in the Midlands is seeking a full-time AC Improver to join our mobile service team. The role is remote with on-site visits to commercial client sites and requires a full UK driving licence. Monday–Friday 40 hours, with out-of-hours maintenance and a 24-hour on-call rota. Qualifications

• Experience in FM industry with reactive and planned maintenance.
• Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems (VRVs/VRFs/Splits/Chillers).
• FGAS Cat 3 certification required.
• Understanding of Building Regulations related to building services.
• Experience with health, safety and risk controls in maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake air conditioning maintenance and servicing per client schedules.
• Provide accurate timesheets within required timeframes.
• Perform basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
• Support team members and act as second-man when required.
• Participate in a 24-hour call-out rota.
• Meet SLAs by visiting client premises within set timeframes.
• Maintain positive client relationships through on-site interactions.
• Highlight remedial works to Technical Team for quoting.
• Escalate major issues through approved channels promptly.

Job description

We are looking for a full time AC Improver to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients covering the Midlands.
This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence.
This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.
Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.

Hours & Location of Work

Main location

Main location - this is a fully mobile role covering the Midlands.

Regular hours of work

Monday to Friday, 40 hour working week. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes & night works are to be expected.

On Call

This role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday)

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• Experience within the FM industry supporting commercial properties with reactive and planned maintenance activities
• Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits and Chillers
• FGAS Cat 3 (minimum)
• Working knowledge of Building Regulations
• Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
• Basic plumbing and building material skills/knowledge
• Asbestos Awareness
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• IPAF & PASMA

Responsibilities include

• Undertaking all aspects of air conditioning maintenance , including the PPM & service dependant on client schedules.
• Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes
• Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
• Supporting team members including acting as second-man where required
• Participating in a 24 hour call out rota
• Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe
• Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clients
• Highlighting remedial works to Technical Team to quote works for our clients.
• Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
