Gap Personnel is recruiting an Abattoir Hygiene Operator for a site in Milford Haven. This hands-on, physically demanding role involves dismantling machinery, deep cleaning production areas, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow strict food safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment and reassemble machinery after cleaning. Training is provided, with regular hours Mon-Fri and specific shift times.

Abattoir Hygiene Operator – Milford Haven

We’re recruiting Hygiene Operators for a specialist abattoir and food‑processing site in Milford Haven. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role involving dismantling machinery, deep‑cleaning production areas, and maintaining strict hygiene and food‑safety standards. Full training is provided, but you must be confident with heavy lifting, manual handling, and working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Dismantling machinery at the end of each shift for full deep‑clean


• Heavy‑duty hygiene work using chemicals, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment


• Cleaning abattoir lines, production areas, and equipment


• Reassembling machinery safely after cleaning


• Following strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

Hours

• Monday to Friday


• 4pm-1am (Monday to Thursday


• 2pm – 11pm (Friday)

Travel

• You must be able to travel to the site independently

Pay

• £13.66 per hour


• £17.07 after 40 hours


• Rising to £14.14 per hour 12 weeks, with £17.67 after 40 hours
