Job summary

Find Recruitment Group LTD is seeking an experienced AAT Skills Coach/Trainer to manage a caseload of apprentices in financial services and accountancy sectors. You will guide learners through their learning journey, delivering coaching, assessment, and structured support aligned to apprenticeship standards and quality expectations.

This hybrid role involves face-to-face and virtual classroom delivery, working with learners and employers to achieve professional and apprenticeship outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the AAT/accountancy sector (5+ years).
• Experience with apprenticeships or work-based learning.
• Knowledge of End Point Assessment (EPA) processes and assessment methods.
• Assessor or teaching qualification (A1, CAVA, TAQA, PGCE, CertEd) desirable.
• Experience in regulated/quality-driven environments (Ofsted/ESFA).

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial skills assessments and radar calls to establish learner starting points.
• Deliver inductions and complete learner sign-up documentation.
• Coach apprentices through monthly progress reviews (remote and workplace-based).
• Deliver group learning sessions aligned to curriculum and Ofsted requirements.
• Support learners with queries, development needs and portfolio building.
• Track learner progress against milestones, KSBs and qualification requirements.
• Contextualise learning to the apprentice's job role and working environment.
• Support apprentices to gather evidence for End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Coach learners through EPA preparation and readiness.
• Maintain accurate learner records, including off-the-job tracking.
• Escalate risks to learner progress in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with employers, line managers, and internal teams.
• Attend team meetings, standardisation and CPD sessions.

About the Role

As an AAT Skills Coach/ Trainer, you’ll support a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them achieve their professional and apprenticeship outcomes.

You’ll work closely with learners and employers, delivering coaching, assessment, and structured support aligned to apprenticeship standards and quality expectations.

This role will involve face to face and group delivery sessions, in a classroom and in a virtual classroom.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Strong occupational experience in the AAT/ Accountancy sector (typically 5+ years)


• Relevant Accountancy qualification, such as:
  AAT, ACCA, CIMA (Essential)


• Experience working within apprenticeships or work-based learning


• Understanding of End Point Assessment (EPA) processes


• Assessor or teaching qualification (A1, CAVA, TAQA, PGCE, CertEd, etc.)


• Experience working within a regulated or quality-driven environment (Ofsted / ESFA)
