RiverView Portfolio Limited is seeking an AAT qualified Accounts Assistant to join a focused accounts and tax role in Swindon/Calne. The role involves exposure to accounts and tax preparation and helping clients understand their financial information beyond just annual reports.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual accounts up to trial balance from source documents.
• Prepare management accounts for clients.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
• Prepare CIS returns and support trainee development.

Skills that would be required:

• Ideally working towards chartered (ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience working within practice accountancy.
• An experience of a range of accounting software.
• Awareness of a wide range of taxes and the associated compliance requirements, to include VAT and CIS.

What would your day to day look like?

• Preparing and reviewing annual accounts up to trial balance from the source documents supplied. This would be both business and personal tax returns.
• Preparing management accounts for presentation to clients.
• Compilation and submission of VAT returns in a timely manner.
• Compilation and submission of CIS returns.
• Helping other team members and taking part in developing trainees.

Location of the role: Calne or Swindon office.
