Summary
Are you looking to build a long-term career in Accountancy? Then look no further! Start your career today with a Level 2 apprenticeship with Chandos Civil Engineering Ltd and Kaplan. You will be dealing with purchase ledger queries, invoices and ad hoc duties whilst working towards the AAT qualification. The salary is between £18k-£20k depending on experience.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm
37 hours 30 minutes a week

Possible start date: Monday 3 March

Duration: 1 year 6 months

What you'll do at work

Job Duties include:

  1. Purchase ledger Invoice input.
  2. Invoice matching with purchase orders.
  3. Purchase ledger queries resolve in a timely manner.
  4. Liaise with suppliers, customer care invoices sales ledger input.
  5. Sub contractor weekly booking in when needed.
  6. Chase debtors ad hoc accounts duties.

Course contents
  1. Record transactional data.
  2. Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  3. Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  4. Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  5. Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results.
  6. Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
  7. Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your training plan
The foundation covers the basic principles of accountancy, and is your starting point if you've never studied accountancy before. You'll learn the basic principles of accountancy, such as double-entry bookkeeping, costing and preparing financial statements, as well as how to use accountancy software.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
  1. Basic Maths (grade 9/A* - 4/C)
  2. Standard English (grade 9/A* - 4/C)

Benefits include: 24 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. Pension after 3 months if you qualify 5% employee 3% employer. Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
