Job description

Delivery of security in accordance with standards specified under contract (MOD, HMG, NPSA, Airbus) for goods in and reception tasks at our Material Support Facility. Responsibilities include providing security support and response to other Airbus facilities, primarily within the business park area, including unlocking and securing premises.

Assist with security arrangements for visitors to Airbus facilities via RAF Brize Norton Station access control. Serve as the focal point of contact for all employees visiting other facilities within the UK and overseas, if security details are required.

Consolidate and report security outputs through collection and analysis of appropriate metrics to facilitate evidence-based decision making.

The role involves working hours from Monday to Friday, 0730-1345 and 1115-1900. Due to the front-of-house nature of the position, a smart appearance is essential (uniform not provided).

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update department files and records, effectively answering routine enquiries.
  • Attend to customers arriving at the Material Support Facility.
  • Maintain mandatory forms and databases.
  • Ensure security forms are up to date, compliant, and aligned across the site.
  • Process inward/outward visitors in accordance with HMG/Airbus standards.
  • Inform the Security Operations Officer of any security issues as they occur.
  • Create reports from security systems and tools, including security metrics, social media/comms, and travel risk assessments.
  • Support other members of the security office as necessary within capability.
  • Provide resilience for the security office, capable of carrying out duties related to business travel, visits, documents, and personnel security.
Key Competencies
  • Confident and articulate communicator, able to coordinate effectively at many levels.
  • Ability to work decisively within a multinational and/or defense environment.
  • Desirable: Hold SIA Front Line License and have security experience.
  • Proficient in IT, including Excel, Word, and report writing.
  • Essential: Ability to obtain UK National Security Vetting, including business cases and reports.
