About us: Join the Safety & Compliance team based in RAF Brize Norton and become part of the support network for the A400M “Atlas” – the most advanced, proven, and certified airlifter available today. Our team manages the Quality and Safety Management Systems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, meet customer requirements, and drive cross-functional responsibilities for quality and safety across Airbus Military UK.

What you will be doing

This role supports flight operations, maintains safe aircraft, and delivers armed forces projects globally. Based in the Safety & Compliance Department at the A400M Maintenance Facility, you will be part of a safety investigation and auditing team. Tasks may include investigations of equipment failures on aircraft, inspections of aircraft performance, and auditing the facilities we operate from.

Responsibilities
  • Promote safe thinking and safety ideas within the organisation.
  • Perform data analysis of safety occurrences and compliance issues to identify root causes.
  • Identify and solve maintenance issues to stop recurrence.
  • Data trending to identify areas of improvement and present to the wider Airbus Engineering Community.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Open to Undergraduates for the whole duration of the placement; please inform your graduation date on your application.
  • Must be studying for a degree in Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiar with Microsoft and Google tools.
  • Understanding of data trending/analysis and engineering practices.
  • Understanding of safety engineering principles; proactive, adaptable, and positively engaged.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team.
  • UK driving licence and owning a car would be beneficial.
  • Security clearance: subject to BPSS check; UK SC-level security clearance or export control may be required depending on the role.
