Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Product Architect to lead the architecture of our Account-to-Account Risk Solutions. You will define scalable patterns, drive technology strategy and collaborate with product, engineering, data science and customers globally.

You will design secure, low-latency solutions, govern API interfaces and ensure alignment with regulatory and Mastercard standards while enabling rapid market onboarding and expansion.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale, high-volume, low-latency distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of API design and governance, including OpenAPI.
• Proficiency with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers and orchestration.
• Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD and modern software delivery.
• Experience with streaming platforms and large-scale data processing.
• Understanding of security, privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR/PCI DSS).

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain solution architectures aligned with business objectives and product requirements.
• Translate business and market needs into scalable, secure designs.
• Lead architecture for A2A fraud and financial crime solutions across global deployments.
• Define and govern API standards, integration approaches and service interactions.
• Design reusable architecture patterns to accelerate onboarding and integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, data science and delivery teams for planning and execution.
• Partner with technology providers to develop integration strategies and manage dependencies.
• Drive technology evaluations, software selection and architectural decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability and resilience.
• Shape the technology roadmap including cloud strategy and platform evolution.
• Act as a technical advisor to customers and stakeholders.
