Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Speech & Language Therapist to work in an exceptional care home in Liverpool, Merseyside. The care home provides specialist rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) or progressive neurological conditions (PNCs).

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex cases, considering cultural and linguistic differences, and develop strategies accordingly
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders
  • Assist in assessments related to mental capacity and informed consent with senior support
  • Help service users maximize independence in decision-making and communication

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing caseloads involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
  • Experience working with families
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Specialist clinical knowledge in adult neuro-rehabilitation

Salary and Benefits:

  • £42,000 per annum
  • Permanent full-time role, 30 hours/week
