Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional hospital service based in Newark, Nottinghamshire. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.

This service is a purpose-built low secure hospital offering personalized assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including trauma-specific pathways, for women with complex care needs.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a Full GMC Registration.

As the Consultant Psychiatrist, your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure safe assessment, treatment, and discharge of admitted patients
  • Quality assurance, handling complaints, and co-production
  • Deliver NICE guidance
  • Lead and manage the CPA and ICR processes to ensure full compliance with quality standards

The following skills and experience are preferred:

  • Be innovative and able to initiate corporate decisions
  • Understand current developments in psychiatry and mental health
  • Knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contractual issues in mental health
  • Previous experience as a Consultant

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary. This full-time, permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week and a range of benefits:
